RESTORING
HOPE
Another way we are meeting needs in our community
is through a ministry called “Restoring
Hope.” This branch of Napa Arise collects
new and gently used furniture to help foster
parents or birth parents set up a household
to better care for their child(ren). Large
items such as beds, dressers, tables, chairs,
and sofas help these parents meet the requirements
of the state and are greatly appreciated.
We also provide baby equipment, such as cribs,
rockers, play discs, swings and bouncers to
foster parents who receive an infant in. Restoring
Hope is also committed to networking our furniture
resources with other help agencies in the
valley that have needs. |

Volunteer Networks: We will serve
as a hub for Christians to mobilize a presence of
Christ by doing volunteer help for elderly, school
students and the needy. These networks will bridge
Christians into the community by partnering with
community agencies and education entities and will
be forming in 2007.

| GLORY
STORY:
Peggy Smith (of our care expression) has been getting
to know the moms of foster babies she takes care
of. This in itself is a great example of God’s
grace and favor. One birth mother began attending
church with her. On the third visit the daughter-in-law
of Bea Tapparo (of our healing & deliverance
expression) gave a testimony about her daughter’s
victory over cancer. The birth mom was impacted
by this message of light, and when the pastor preached
on the same subject, then gave an altar call, she
rushed forward to receive Jesus! |
