| A
name plays a vital role in describing and identifying
a person or entity. God changed the name of key leaders
throughout the scriptures in order to shift them into
His purpose over their life. Think of Abram (lofty father)
to Abraham (father of multitudes), Jacob (deceiver)
to Israel (prince), or Simon (hearing) to Peter (rock).
We felt a stirring from God to change the name
of Napa Valley Christian Prayer and Care (NVCPC)
–a practical, functional name (which many had
trouble remembering and keeping the initials straight)
to NAPA ARISE, a prophetic declaration with God’s
sound from heaven for this new season.
We’ve been a non-profit quietly serving the body
of Christ and Napa community for the past several years
in the areas of unified prayer and care. We believe
God is shifting us to “come out of the shadows”
and be strategic in our purpose, partnerships and communication.
We will continue to unite Christians, to facilitate
prayer, and to generously release care to the sick,
widowed and orphaned, but with an increased sound of
God’s heart to bring individuals and groups not
only to freedom, but dominion! (God’s reigning
presence.)

The
primary mission of NAPA ARISE is to Call the Generations
into their Destiny. What does this mean? We’re
not exactly sure, but we’re going to have a joyous
adventure with God to find out and do it. We do know
what this adventure involves:
Celebrating
and valuing all ages - the generations. God loves the
whole family. The same Holy Spirit that lives in the
“born again” 40 year old, also lives in
the surrendered 4 year old or 94 year old. Each has
a powerful purpose in God.
Seeing Creator
God’s purpose (destiny) for individuals, congregations,
the whole church, cities and communities.
Declaring
and speaking out these destinies; fervently praying
for them to be released and established.
Ministering
to and through people to root out hindrances, pull down
strongholds, destroy lies, and overthrow patterns that
keep people and communities from God-given purpose.
Laying
Holy foundations and building up, in love,
people and places that will reflect God & bring
Him glory.

Prayer - listening, and agreeing with God
is foundational for discovering His will and establishing
His kingdom "on earth as it is in heaven"
both in lives and the community. We have various
prayer groups, events and trainings throughout the
year, including the establishment of an ongoing
"House of Prayer" to be launched in 2006-2007. |

Healing
Prayer Teams trained and mobilized including
the weekly Healing Rooms of Napa Valley open every
Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon and 6:00 - 8:00
p.m. Prayer for physical, emotional, mental, financial,
relational, and spiritual healing happens through
these teams. |

Deliverance
Teams minister freedom from addictions
and oppressions for individuals and groups and then
release and envision them for God's purposes. |

Care
Expressions:
-Bags of Hope:
We fill backpacks with age specific items to meet
the needs of foster children as they are released
by Child Protective Services into the foster home.
This relieves foster parents to immediately focus
on the child instead of having to go out for the
needed supplies. |

-Restoring
Hope: We collect new and gently
used furniture to provide for foster parents and
birth parents as they are setting up household to
receive the child into their custody. |

-Christian
Volunteer Networks: We will serve
as a hub for Christians to mobilize a presence of
Christ by doing volunteer help for elderly, school
students and the needy. These networks will bridge
Christians into the community by partnering with
community agencies and education entities and will
be forming in 2007. |

Communication
through an e-mail database, a quarterly newsletter
and a developing web page is now being developed
to help envision, equip and recruit Christians into
destiny developing opportunities. |

Resources:
CDs, DVDs, books, tapes, websites, conferences,
etc. are being gathered to be made available to
strengthen the body of Christ for God's purposes
in and through them. |

Partnerships
with various congregations and strategic ministries
throughout Napa County, the San Francisco Bay Area
and California are formed to accomplish prayer,
ministry and care that will impact and transform
communities. |
